The difference between gasoline engine and diesel engine is as follows:

1. The ignition method is different. Gasoline engines need a spark plug to ignite the mixture, while diesel engines ignite by compression autoignition.

2. The compression ratio is different. Gasoline engines are made of materials such as aluminum alloys and plastics. Small in size, light in weight, easy to start, stable in operation and fast in speed.
